For the second quarter of 2023, I contributed to a direct mailing project for Ford aimed at promoting their personal vehicles and associated benefits to fleet managers across the Netherlands. The project centered on the chosen concept, “A Box Full of Benefits,” selected from five proposals presented to the client. Inspired by UncommonGoods’ “Box of Emotions,” this interactive mailer presented Ford’s benefits in a tangible, engaging way: recipients could pull out individual cards, guiding them through the information one step at a time.
As part of the creative team, I art directed and designed the visual execution of the concept, working alongside creative director and copywriter Henk Niewenhuis, art director/graphic designer Olga Müstecalplioglu, and DTP designer Jan-Willem Kunnen. The design emphasised clarity, engagement, and interactivity, ensuring that the mailer was not only visually appealing but also functional in communicating key vehicle benefits. This project demonstrates how thoughtful design can transform traditional direct mail into an interactive, memorable experience for business audiences.
