The trailer
For the 2024 end-of-year Swapfiets Global Heartbeat, the social media team introduced a playful twist on the traditional Management Team video by producing a vlog-style film. Instead of the usual formal approach, the concept centered on humour and exaggeration, portraying each MT member with distinct, quirky characteristics that reflected Swapfiets’ lighthearted brand spirit.
As the video and graphic design intern, I worked closely with in-house digital content creator Clément Rebouillat and creative intern Stevina Romswinckel to shape the project. My contributions included scripting and narrative development, ensuring the storyline highlighted each personality in a fun, engaging way. On set, I operated the camera to capture moments with precision, while Stevina directed the actors to fully embody their exaggerated roles.
In post-production, I crafted a cohesive edit that maximised the humour of the footage, weaving the scenes into a narrative that felt both entertaining and authentic to the Swapfiets culture. I also handled color grading, applying warm, playful tones that reinforced the company’s approachable identity and created visual consistency throughout.
The result was a memorable, high-energy vlog that stood out from previous years, keeping the audience engaged from start to finish and offering a fresh, creative take on how leadership at Swapfiets could be celebrated.
